Original letter and newspaper sent to Cincinnati Ohio by P.F.C Robert E. Cobbe during March 1945 from Germany. The Stars And Stripes newspaper dated March 6, 1945 has significant creasing and curled edges due to being envelope mailed home. Robert was a Cincinnati Ohio native who served in the U.S. Army with the 104th Timberwolf Infantry Division, Company B, 414th Infantry Regiment during WWII 1943-1945. He was deployed to Europe in the fall of 1944, traveling through France, Belgium, Holland to fight in Germany, and was a Bronze Star recipient.
