This is a very rare invertebrate fossil. The distinct fossil crab exhibits very good detail - both the head and the body of this horseshoe crab are well preserved and very inflated and 3-D. The ancient crab has been fossilized in a round siderite concretion - hundreds of these concretions are broken open before one of these crabs is found.
