We make the scales from stabilized maple and composite. The scales are typically made 5 3/8" x 1 7/8" x 5/16". Knife Blanks/Scales as received are not intended to be a finished product. Our intent is for them to be ground down from the shiny side down to your desired thickness sanded then polished.
