We used this little thermal cycler for research some years back and then put it into storage. Pulled it out and ran self-check, which it passed. Then manually ran it through a range of block temperatures (4oC, 37oC, 60oC, 90oC and 98oC and then back to 4oC. It quickly hit them all without overshooting. Based on this limited testing and the fact that I personally know it was working when we set it aside, I am pretty confident it works as it should. A bit of tape residue on the casing, but block is clean inside.
